Speaker 0 00:00:00 And okay. Question what on earth as fish the gremlins and hiding in a cupboard got to do with proper golfing? Well, I'll tell you what, it's all to do with our golf coaching holidays and we've got some stories to share with you. Right? That's the whole point of these little videos. We've got so many fun stories to tell you about our golfing holidays.

Speaker 1 00:00:25 People have been on with amazed, aren't they? I

Speaker 0 00:00:27 Know. We've just chat. So I've literally, that's why I've got my pen here. 'cause we've got so many. So we've got the stories about a hole in one. We've got a story about some birdies. We've got some stories about hiding the cupboard. Yeah. We've got fish. We've got Eric and Derek. Eric, we've got, oh,

Speaker 1 00:00:41 Miami Vice.

Speaker 0 00:00:42 Miami Vice. Anyway, I don't even know where to start. We, we have had some really, really good times, aren't we?

Speaker 1 00:00:48 Yeah, I think, I think one of the funniest things, Joe, is when you lost the ambassador. An actual ambassador. Oh, you lost him.

Speaker 2 00:01:01 I did.

Speaker 0 00:01:05 I did.

Speaker 1 00:01:05 Oh, bless you. I

Speaker 0 00:01:06 Did that. I mean, I have apologized to him since Am and I, but of all the people to forget. I mean, we're just trying to tell you our fun stories and, and we usually don't forget anybody. But we went to Dominican Republic, didn't we? And I think I, I honestly, I think I was just overcome with the heat. It was so hot. It was, I was really hot and bothered. I'd had heat stroke the two years before and I was hot and bothered. And anyway, Dominican Republic, if you've ever been playing golf, wow. There's three courses and loads of restaurants. So I'd organized everybody to go everywhere on mini buses to eat at the fantastic restaurants. We got to this restaurant, didn't we? On the beach? Like where's the on bus?

Speaker 1 00:01:41 He forgot the ambassador.

Speaker 0 00:01:43 He's a good friend. So that was all right. He sort of stood it in a good time. But he, but apparently in my defense, so I've learned later on is that we were waiting for the mini bus and I think he was in a bit of a hurry. So we took a golf boogie, didn't he? To go down to the restaurant. And, and so he arrived about 10. He'd been, he got lost as well then, didn't he? So, and bearing in mind he did use to have a property there, didn't he? But he got lost and he arrived about 10 or 15 minutes afterwards. Yeah. On the beach. Yeah, that was, yeah. Was Anyway, I'm just now, you know, like you live and learn now we do make sure that we do a double rod and there's only eight people. There's nine. How can you lose the ambassador? They lose the ambassador. That's funny. Oh my days. I mean, Dominican Republic is quite fun. I mean, you know, you can see online about what people say about a holidays. Okay. They're all real people saying real things about our holidays. But I have to say, somebody did really recognize your efforts in Dominican. 'cause you got that bit of a bite.

Speaker 1 00:02:37 Yeah, I got, I got, I got a little bit of bite. It was warm, it was tough. But the facilities in the Dominican were sensation, they were amazing. The golf courses were awesome. The Caddy masters were also staff. Yeah. They were hundred percent five star all way. And it's just a a, a trip for to be remembered, isn't it? But we've been to some great places. Well, I was

Speaker 0 00:02:56 Gonna say before we leave Dominican Republic, so we would highly recommend 100% if you haven't been, it's closed at the moment. Teeth the dog go to Dominican Republic, cast at a campo. Ugh. It is mind blowing. They have attention to detail like you have never seen. Yeah. So that we don't get any kickback or anything for that. We are just saying if you haven't been go. Yeah. But before we leave Dominican Republic, there was also a really, really poignant story as well about Peggy, one of our guests delegates. Yeah. You know, this is a really sad story. Actually. One of our guests, they came all the way from the UK to Dominican Republic, didn't they? For their 50th wedding anniversary. And I think even her husband might be watching this 'cause he's, you know, he is a friend of ours and stuff, but poor Peggy, she, I mean she did, 'cause we talk all about the golf swing and everything else we did. She did some stuff on breathing, didn't she? 'cause she was into a time journey.

Speaker 1 00:03:48 Wonderful, wonderful. Helped so many people. A hundred percent. Oh, didn't she?

Speaker 0 00:03:53 I mean, the ambassador took a lot away from the breathing as well, didn't they? And did, yeah, yeah. WhatsApp group. WhatsApp route. But the, the really sad ending is, is that a few months after that, she sadly passed away, didn't she? Which was just

Speaker 1 00:04:06 Yes, she wasn't feeling well. Went to the doctor's surgery and passed away in surgery. So, God bless you Peggy.

Speaker 0 00:04:13 I know, but she bought so much for the week, didn't she? She was absolutely fantastic. She was, she was brilliant. She did some really good stuff for breathing. Really helped the people. And are you even talking about it now? It makes me feel really sad. Emotion.

Speaker 1 00:04:27 It, it was lovely. It's a lovely that we got to spend time with her. I know. And that was her last golfing holiday. I know. And

Speaker 0 00:04:33 At the funeral we saw some beautiful pictures of it, didn't we? We, yeah, we should did. Which are on our wall by the way. But I think that that's the really wonderful thing about what we do, you know, is that it's amazing

Speaker 1 00:04:42 People don't

Speaker 0 00:04:42 We? It creates really special memories for

Speaker 1 00:04:44 People. Memories, doesn't it? Memories, yeah, definitely.

Speaker 0 00:04:45 Yeah. And then so, so as well, norm, we add in Tene. So after lockdown, do you remember the story after lockdown? Because we didn't know whether the trip was on anyway and we'd got four guys coming from the States to Tene, haven't we? Four guys? And, and we sort of like didn't know whether the trip was gonna be on after COVID. Anyway, we get this email from Han again, probably watching, 'cause that's how he fans on YouTube and said, is that trip still on? I was like, ah, okay, let's go. So we had four people from America. Actually wasn't in the end it was three. Yeah. And then for the couples, didn't we? But Norm, let's mention Norm as well then why we're, so, norm

Speaker 1 00:05:25 Had had a very special week. He played 18 holes. So he'd suffered from an illness. Got to carry on on, I'm gonna get the picture. Coaching holiday.

Speaker 0 00:05:36 Yeah, carry

Speaker 1 00:05:37 On. He in the final, he'd never won a competition. And in the final round he, he went out, he won the last stage competition, but he also had a holding in won. And that was the last time that he, he'd been on the golfing holiday. So sounds a little bit strange that people have come on him and And suddenly passed away. Yeah. But we got to meet, we get to meet some very special people. But this was a book at this

Speaker 0 00:06:01 Trip for him, wasn't it? This was a book at this trip. Absolutely. And I don't think you would think we knew we'd got a hole in one, did we? Until like suddenly went

Speaker 1 00:06:07 He's got a hole in one. Yeah. Amazing.

Speaker 0 00:06:09 So Norm suddenly passed on as well. But this is one of our favorite pictures on our wall with Norm and then the other guys I've just mentioned as well on there. Yeah. So special. Special people. Special memories. That's one of our favorite isn't it? Of Norm there.

Speaker 1 00:06:24 Yeah, definitely. Where else else have we been, Joe,

Speaker 0 00:06:27 To, where have we done so far? We've done Dominican probably. We've done Tene. We've been to Fer Venture. Oh by the way, we're going to third for Ventura in November and we put that date on because these trips do fill up. They do. So next year. Yeah, we've got Tenerif twice. January's, I think we've only got one space on there then a couple of spaces in October. And then we put this extra one on in first Ventura for November. But First Ventura is a place where, I'm just thinking about Eric and Derek. So Eric came from the States, didn't he? The first time we met him again. Hi Eric. If you're watching, he came first time from all the Way from America to Fer Ventura with his wife, which was amazing. Yeah.

Speaker 1 00:07:06 Fer Ventura. If you don't know by the way, he's one of the Canary Islands, so Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Always nice weather.

Speaker 0 00:07:11 Yeah. And we go there because of the weather and because the course is really a good place to learn. Isn't it? Friendly. They're amazing at Alba Palace. We've been there I think three or four times. Forget now. But yeah, so Eric came, didn't he?

Speaker 1 00:07:25 Eric and then Derek I know came, came as well from the

Speaker 0 00:07:28 Us well a Newry cancellation. And he messaged us the week before and went, are you still got, have you still got that place left in first Ventura? I was like, yeah, you're not coming again. That was his, that was his second trip, wasn't it? So he did Dominican, then he deferred to Ventura and then he's coming back again. Yeah, definitely. To Tene that, that's really humbling. Yeah.

Speaker 1 00:07:48 I think that was in, in the Dominican as well. Derek and Eric got to meet one of their idols, which is Oh yeah, Dick Stockton. He was a famous broadcaster in in the us Yeah. And one of the thrills that they got is they asked if Dick could announce them on the tea. And he made a wonderful announcement on the tea and they recorded it and they've showed all their friends. So not only did they get to go to Dominican, they got to meet one of their idols as well. Spend a a week with Dick and Jamie. Beautiful. Oh, co. Beautiful couple. Yeah. I mean, I completely,

Speaker 0 00:08:23 For, forgot about the announcement on the tee.

Speaker 1 00:08:24 That was, that was

Speaker 0 00:08:25 Plastic. And Dick and Jamie are fantastic. They're living in Florida, aren't they? Yeah, they

Speaker 1 00:08:29 They've been what, two times?

Speaker 0 00:08:31 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But we did Dominican Republic, you know, to really assist with our American clients, didn't we over there? But we had a great time. Oh, the list goes on Portugal. We've done several trips to Portugal, haven't we?

Speaker 1 00:08:45 Portugal's lovely.

Speaker 0 00:08:46 Yeah. Yeah. We, we steer clear Portugal now because of the weather, because we did have some really nice people that came all the way from Arizona. Yes. And it did rain a bit. It did before

Speaker 1 00:08:57 You called. So we choose the time of year. Yeah, we choose the time of, for different, different places. I know, bless them. So generally where we go, they're, they're normally all inclusive. Yeah. So the golf's in there, the s in there, the accommodation, the food. Yeah. The drink. But we always choose nice places and people say, do you have awkward groups? We don't. Do

Speaker 0 00:09:17 We? No, never ever, ever.

Speaker 1 00:09:18 We never have awkward groups. No. Everybody wants to learn. Wants to get better. Yeah. Never you most like-minded people. Even if you've got a golfer and a non golfer, everybody's made welcome you, you'll get really well looked after. Yeah. And memorable trips aren't there? Oh, a hundred percent. So coaching's generally in the morning. Yeah. So we cover all parts of the game. Long game, short game over the week. We talk a little bit about the mental side as well. Then we go out and play in the afternoon. We don't really go by the rules, so we take away some of the rules to make it more enjoyable. The irony is when we take away the rules, people relax more, they relax more, they play better. And they don't actually break any rules anyway. Yeah, yeah. But it doesn't matter what standard you're at. Yeah. Because we, the way that we work it is everybody can play with everybody and nobody feels intimidated, do they? Yeah. You know, we have some, some, some low handed gap golfers. Yeah. Playing with people who haven't been playing that long. But it all, everybody gets on so well don't they? It works a treat. Yeah,

Speaker 0 00:10:17 I think, I think it, it is really important to note that, yeah, we've been doing this a long time now, aren't we? So you don't feel any pressure, you know, these are golf, golf coaching, holidays. We get some people that might only wanna play eight holes. For example, in Dominican it was really hot or it was really rainy when we went to Portugal. But some people only face six holes and go in or you know, you can flex it and choose, you know, whichever way that you wanna do it. Really. Yeah, definitely. But, so if you are interested, what I would recommend is that you do reach out and book a call with myself so we can make sure it's the right thing for you to do. Especially if you're traveling, you know, from the US to the Canary Islands. We just wanna make sure it's the right thing. Probably if you've all those things ticking those boxes, but check out the reviews and then we hope to see you there. Really. Yeah,

Speaker 1 00:11:02 Definitely. Yeah. Yeah. So, you know, the, the co, the golf's gonna be great. The coaching's always awesome. Joe really does look after everybody and I'm not just saying that, that is my thing. She's, she's very special at doing that. Yeah. So, and generally we have some great times. We're looking to go to some different countries as well in the future. Yeah, that'd be

Speaker 0 00:11:19 Interest. What I would say is, if the holidays are not for you, you can always book a free consultation. They take place every Wednesday at 2:00 PM UK time. That's a Zoom consultation. So you can book one of those if holidays are not your thing. But you know, let's hope we see you there.

Speaker 1 00:11:35 Yeah, yeah. It'd be great to see you. We'll

Speaker 0 00:11:37 See you again soon. Take care. Bye.
